The Oxford Club Bonn is a non-profit association that was founded in 1971 with the aim of actively promoting and supporting the town twinning between Bonn and Oxford. This partnership, which dates back to 1947, is one of the first town twinning arrangements in the post-war period.
The Oxford Club in Bonn works closely with the Bonn Club in Oxford, as well as with the Oxford Anglo-German Club. We are on friendly terms with both clubs.
The Oxford Club Bonn offers:
- a circle of people with the common goal of actively promoting and supporting the town twinning,
- information about the twin city of Oxford and opportunities to make contact with Oxford citizens,
- the opportunity to use and improve your English language skills in English discussion groups with mainly native speakers,
- regular opportunities to converse in English - the club evening "The Pub is open",
- contacts with Oxford citizens - as part of meeting events both in Bonn and Oxford,
- help in obtaining information material about the twin city,
- the opportunity to take part in attractive trips with interesting programs to Oxford and the surrounding area as well as to other destinations.
