The Ibero-Club Bonn e.V. has set itself the goal of promoting understanding between Ibero-America and Germany. The Ibero-Club is a meeting place for anyone interested in Spain, Portugal and the countries of Latin America and their relations with Germany in culture, literature, politics, economics, history, geography or research. Lectures and discussions are offered in German, Spanish or Portuguese.

In addition to the lectures, the club offers concerts, language and conversation courses ("Tertulias"), seminars, excursions and parties. The events take place approximately every 14 days, "Tertulias" every month. Language courses are offered at different language levels and take place weekly over the course of a semester. The club can now look back on over 50 years of history. There are currently 200 members in the club.
