The Deutsch-Maghrebinische Gesellschaft e.V. promotes cultural exchange between Germany and the countries of the Maghreb - Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania and Tunisia. The German-Maghreb Society has set itself the goal of promoting mutual understanding and tolerance, imparting knowledge about culture, religion and way of life and providing information about social, political and economic contexts.

The society organizes events, lectures, concerts, exhibitions and film evenings at regular intervals and publishes a media review with current articles.
