The Bonn Society for China Studies is a non-profit association made up of academics, students, business representatives and people interested in China. With its activities, the association contributes to international understanding and the promotion of education and science.

The Bonn Society for China Studies informs and discusses China's society, culture and economy, its history and present, with the aim of creating a multifaceted picture of China through up-to-date and well-founded expertise. Furthermore, the association promotes dialog and knowledge transfer between former, current and future students of Chinese Studies at the University of Bonn.

The association organizes lectures, film screenings, discussion rounds and an ongoing exchange on current China topics. The regular China Dialogue offers the opportunity for members and interested parties to get to know each other over Chinese food and to discuss issues together. In addition, the BGCS provides the know-how for China-related events of various organizations and educational institutions from the fields of politics, culture and business.
