The Agitos Foundation, based in Bonn, was established by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) in 2008. The aim of the foundation's work is to provide technical and financial support to IPC member organizations (National Paralympic Committees and International Sports Federations). Specifically, it provides support for programmes in the areas of sports and organizational development to create a framework for the promotion of athletes with disabilities.

By training coaches and experts in the field of sports promotion and providing financial support for programs, the partners are to be enabled to initiate effective sports promotion for people with disabilities. Another focus is the support of activities in the field of education and public relations.
