The rooms are equipped with a fully automatic care bed, bedside cabinet, closet and a bathroom - some with shower facilities. There are also spacious care bathrooms on each floor. All rooms have a cable telephone connection and are connected to the building's call system. In addition, balconies and terraces enhance the quality of living. We are happy for you to bring your own furniture, favorite items and mementos to your new home.

There are spacious dining rooms on each floor. Various larger and smaller communal rooms and terrace areas around the facility offer space for shared activities and cozy get-togethers.

If you have any questions about organizational matters and processes, such as moving in, finances, cash management or care procedures, the administrative staff will be happy to help and advise you.

Certified geriatric nurses and nursing assistants work in the care teams. The residents are cared for according to their care level (1 to 5). The employees help with everyday care and medical issues and are available around the clock. They also support the residents in organizing appointments with doctors, medical supply stores and therapists. Of course, you have a free choice of doctor, therapist and pharmacy.

There are various care options: Full inpatient, short-term or respite care.

Full inpatient care is an option if it is no longer possible to provide adequate care and support for the person in need of care at home or in part-time inpatient care, or if this is not an option due to the special nature of the individual care situation.

Short-term or respite care offers older people in need of care a temporary stay in an inpatient facility. This may be necessary, for example, when family caregivers go on vacation, take a cure or fall ill. Short-term care is also used to bridge an acute emergency situation or to provide time after a hospital stay when home care has not yet been organized.

With increasing age or advancing illness, it can be helpful to deal with questions about care measures, medical treatments and psychosocial support in preparation for the final phase of life.

The cleaning staff are responsible for cleaning the residential rooms and communal areas. Employees from the building services department are available to help with technical problems and repair work in the rooms.

It is possible to make use of hairdressing and pedicure services. Some of these services are subject to a charge.

Laundry and easy-care items of clothing are washed by a contract laundry if they are marked with a name. The laundry will also be labeled. Towels, washing gloves, bed linen and table linen are provided for the residents. These laundry services are included in the cost of the home.

Mobile clothing and shoe companies also visit the facilities and offer their senior-friendly goods for sale.

Several times a year, local hearing aid acousticians and opticians offer advice and services in the homes.

Guests of our residents are also welcome at any time. We can provide suitable rooms for private parties free of charge.

Meals are prepared in the in-house kitchen. Depending on requirements, they can be eaten in the dining rooms, on the floors or in your own room. Your wishes are regularly asked for and implemented in the menu planning.

Depending on your personal requirements, snacks and special diets are taken into account, for example in the case of food intolerances.

Coffee is served in the afternoon. Water, coffee, tea and juices are available daily. You can also purchase other drinks at cost price.

A multi-professional team offers you a wide range of activities, whether in individual contact or in groups. The team consists of educational specialists, geriatric nurses, sports science staff, care assistants and erogotherapeutic specialists. The employees help with everyday concerns, for example with errands, telephone calls, conversations and, in cooperation with other areas, are also responsible for contact with the local community and for organizing and arranging seasonal celebrations.

Close contact with the local parishes enables us to provide pastoral care as required and desired. Protestant and Catholic church services are held regularly.

People who live in a facility should be involved in the running of the home. This is achieved through the formation and work of a residents' advisory board, which is elected for two years. Residents and so-called persons of trust who do not live in the facility can stand for election.

If you have any questions, requests or suggestions, you are welcome to contact the members of the residents' advisory board. They meet regularly with the facility management and, on request, with staff from individual areas.

The senior citizens' centers of the City of Bonn see themselves jointly as a municipal provider of a wide range of services for older citizens.
