The Municipal Conference on Ageing and Care has the following tasks, among others:

• Advising on investment projects for partial and full inpatient facilities;
• Securing and quantitatively developing the structure of care services;
• Participating in the creation of age-appropriate neighborhood structures, particularly with the inclusion of new forms of living and care;
• Advice on cross-city and cross-district design requirements in cooperation with neighboring municipalities;
• Participation in municipal care planning;
• Involvement of the providers of services in accordance with the NRW Elderly and Nursing Care Act in issues relating to the future safeguarding of nursing care in the municipalities.
