VHS series "Biodiversity in the city" starts on March 23, 2025
Lichens are everywhere and very diverse, even in cities, but we hardly notice them. What are lichens, where do they grow and how are lichen species differentiated? Dr. Luciana Zedda will take you on a walk in the Rheinaue leisure park to identify the species and explain the importance of lichens in nature and for humans. If you like, you are welcome to bring a magnifying glass.
The walk through the Rheinaue will take place on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 2.30 pm and costs 9 euros. Registration is possible at www.vhs-bonn.de (opens in a new tab), quoting the course number 1760.
The event marks the start of the joint series "Biodiversity in the City" by the Office for the Environment and Urban Greenery and the Adult Education Center Bonn. It provides practical tips for promoting biodiversity and sustainability. Information on further events can be found at www.vhs-bonn.de (opens in a new tab) with the keyword "Biological diversity".
