City of Bonn

Get to know the Bonn Tour Program 2025

45 tours are included in the new Bonn tours brochure, which will be presented by the Tourist Information Office on November 15, 2024. On the trail of famous Bonn residents, in the sea of cherry blossom or to the stone witnesses of the city's history left behind by the Romans - the portfolio covers a wide range. Anyone who still needs help deciding which of the tours is of interest can take part in one of the free "taster tours" on November 15.

By the end of October, Bonn-Information had already counted more than 40,000 participants in its guided tours. "We reach a wide audience with our offers," Biggi Landsberg, acting head of the Tourist Information Office, sums up with satisfaction. Whether it's the classic city center tour "Discover Bonn on foot" or tours to places that are otherwise not open to the public, such as the roof truss of Bonn Cathedral or Villa Hammerschmidt, the many themed areas are well received by visitors and residents alike.

"We were particularly surprised by the success of our new cherry blossom tour last year," says Landsberg with a smile. Bonn-Information had published six dates for this tour - all tours were sold out within a very short time. "We then reinforced the dates with additional tours wherever possible." In 2025, the dates will be published at short notice, probably from mid-March. "Unfortunately, the cherry blossom is a fickle partner and doesn't like to decide six months in advance when the trees will be in full bloom," explains Landsberg.

New guided tours of the castle church and "Garden of Education"

It is easier for the Bonn tours team to arrange appointments with the numerous partners who open their premises for guided tours by the trained team of tour guides. "We have been working well and trustingly with Bonn Conference Center Management GmbH, the Office of the Federal President, Museum Koenig and Bonner Personenschifffahrt GmbH for many years. Since last year, we have also been offering tours in cooperation with Bonn Minster and Sparkasse Köln-Bonn. New partners from 2025 include the university's castle church and the House of Education with the Adult Education Center and city library. A visit to the hidden church with its beautiful organ or the "Garden of Education" oasis of peace will certainly be a highlight for our guests," Landsberg is certain.

The Tourist-Information team is offering three free one-hour taster tours so that interested Bonn residents and visitors can get their own impression of what is on offer. These start on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 3 pm and 4 pm at the Bonn-Information in Windeckstraße.

Guided tours also for individual guests and private groups

As in previous years, Bonn-Information offers some tours from its program only for individual guests on fixed dates, but many tours and tours can also be booked with your own tour guide. "We always determine the date, time, language, starting point or individual focus in consultation with the guests," says Landsberg, explaining this offer, which is now also popular with small groups who appreciate the flexibility. These booking inquiries are handled by the colleagues in the tour guide service, who can be contacted by email at  bonntourenbonnde or by telephone on 0228 77 50 01 39 21 or 5012. Interested individual guests can either contact the Bonn-Information service team bonninformationbonnde or 0228 77 50 00) or book their ticket directly online at  www.bonnticket.de.
