The reason for this request is the renewal of the road surface on Adenauerallee from May 5 to 20, which has already been scheduled by the city and will involve full road closures. This will be followed by road marking work lasting approximately one month, which will, however, allow one lane in each direction to be kept open again. The three-week full closure of the highway has not - as usual - been coordinated with the construction site coordination office in the civil engineering department of the city of Bonn. "You will understand that, as Mayor of Bonn, I am firmly opposed to the simultaneous full closure of two main traffic arteries in Bonn," writes Katja Dörner. "I therefore urge you to postpone the full closure of the highway in this section for at least two weeks in order to avoid an otherwise unavoidable traffic chaos, which Autobahn GmbH certainly does not want to experience any more than the city of Bonn."
