"Living with trees, Green4Care in the Hardtberg district" is the name of the project being implemented in Hardtberg. The aim is to plant groups of trees in green spaces to provide shade in summer. A total of eight to ten trees will be planted. These are mainly fruit trees, which are selected according to their location. Signs on the groups of trees will provide information about the varieties planted.
The council had already decided on the implementation of the projects from the citizens' dialog on the 2023/2024 budget in the districts of Bonn, Bad Godesberg and Beuel at its meeting on September 19, 2023. Background dialog on the budget
In the dialog on the 2023/2024 budget, Bonn residents were able to propose specific projects for the individual districts. A total budget of 220,000 euros was available for this. After the administration had reviewed the proposals and estimated the costs, the citizens were able to cast their final votes. The most popular, feasible project ideas were presented to the respective district councils, the finance committee and the council. The latter made the final decision on implementation and budget allocation.
