Three year nine classes from different schools in Bonn are working on a cross-genre play. The aim is for pupils from different types of school in different parts of the city to come together, exchange ideas and get to know each other. In cooperation with the education authority, the participating classes will spend four months working with artists focusing on acting/performance, soundtrack/composition and video/visual arts. At the end, there will be a big final performance at the Schauspielhaus.

Every year, the Junge Theatergemeinde Bonn organizes the spotlights school theatre festival in cooperation with various Bonn theatres. Young theater groups at schools or youth institutions in Bonn and the Rhein-Sieg district are given the opportunity to perform on a professional stage. Productions are selected from the applications by a jury and awarded prizes.
