In 1983, Bill Mockridge founded the Springmaus improvisational theater, which quickly exceeded the dimensions of Bonn's pubs with its success with audiences: just one year after its premiere, the troupe had its first own "Haus der Springmaus" and was also touring throughout Germany for guest performances. In addition to in-house productions, the company also promotes qualified young cabaret and comedy talent, as demonstrated by various Springmaus ensembles.

The Pantheon Theater, which focuses on political cabaret, is one of the most important cabaret theaters in Germany. In 1987, Rainer Pause opened the cabaret stage in the Bonn-Center - the address also determined the themes: Am Bundeskanzlerplatz. The Pantheon had to move in summer 2016, and the Bonn-Center was demolished in March 2017. Since then, the Halle Beuel has been located on the theater grounds on Siegburger Straße.

The performances of "Fritz & Hermann", the alternative carnival session "Pink Punk Pantheon" and the "Prix Pantheon" award ceremony are particularly popular with audiences.
