The science tasks of the City of Bonn include

• Development of key objectives and fields of action for the science city and region of Bonn with the head of office as project manager
• Maintaining contacts with science and research institutions as well as science intermediary organizations and funding institutions
• Maintaining contact with the BMBF and other federal authorities
• Promoting cooperation between science and industry
• Location marketing to students with regard to opportunities in the regional labor market
• Improving the framework conditions for science and research institutions and their students and employees
