Employees of the Civil Engineering Department apply rat bait to the municipal sewer system as required. Subsequent checks and reapplications are then carried out following reports from the public.
The Civil Engineering Department then lays out poisoned bait on site, taking the necessary safety precautions. The baits are eaten by the animals and cause the rats to bleed to death internally over the course of around 3-5 days.
