Universities in the region
Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (opens in a new tab), with its three campuses in Sankt Augustin, Rheinbach and Hennef, comprises the departments of Economics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Journalism, Applied Natural Sciences and Social Insurance.
The departments of "Business and Social Economics" and "Mathematics and Technology" are located at the RheinAhrCampus (opens in a new tab) of Koblenz University of Applied Sciences in Remagen. The courses on offer range from business administration to sports management and logistics.
The IU International University (opens in a new tab) in Bad Honnef is a state-recognized, private university of applied sciences with study programmes in aviation, hotel, tourism and event management as well as international management.
The Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences (opens in a new tab) in Alfter offers courses in architecture and business administration in addition to artistic and educational subjects.
The Bonn-Aachen International Center for Information Technology (opens in a new tab) (B-IT)
is one of Europe's leading institutions for applied computer science. It offers Master's degree courses in autonomous systems, bioinformatics and media informatics.
