Use the voluntary service to get ideas for your professional future and to bridge the time until you start your apprenticeship or studies in a meaningful way.

• try out and develop your practical skills
• get to know new people
• Take responsibility for yourself and others

The Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) and the Federal Voluntary Service (BFD) at the International Youth Community Services offer all this and much more.

Voluntary service can be recognized as a pre-study internship or as a practical part of the university entrance qualification.

Institutions and businesses involved in the preservation of historical monuments (e.g. specialist offices, museums, archives, archaeological institutions, restoration studios and craft businesses)

Remuneration / allowance: pocket money and food allowance of around 500 euros, social security contributions, continued entitlement to child benefit - up to the age of 25
