As the German city of the United Nations, Bonn performs national tasks. With the establishment of United Nations institutions, including the Climate Change Secretariat (UNFCCC), numerous other international organizations have also moved to Bonn. Together with around 150 non-governmental organizations (NGOs), they form a strong network. The international activities in Bonn focus on global future issues such as sustainability, volunteering, development cooperation and disaster prevention.
