In the course of the planning, a "garden passage" is planned, in which a stay, play elements and deep beds are combined with infiltration trenches. Here too, the repetitive elements are intended to link the two squares Theaterplatz and Fronhof. In the Pfarrer-Minartz-Straße area, additional bicycle parking facilities and a planting bed are planned to improve mobility.

In the course of the redesign, Theaterplatz will be given an independent, vegetative use characteristic with the function of a main square for sufficient lingering and recreational opportunities. At the heart of this square, a small "grove of trees" is planned as a green oasis and has already been laid out in preparation.

This is intended to make climate adaptation strategies (microclimate, cooling, shading, CO2 binding, water cycle, etc.) as well as social changes (stay and communication, multicoding and exchange, multigenerational coexistence, etc.) visible and tangible. The preliminary design envisages two newly planted trees with a high load-bearing capacity in combination with recreational and play areas.

Based on the competition-winning design and the feedback from the online participation in September 2021, capattistaubach_urbane landschaften drew up the preliminary plans for the Am Fronhof and Theaterplatz squares. The location of planned tree planting, a new floor covering, the arrangement of new seating and play facilities on the squares were specified. The draft for the redesign of the squares was published in February 2023 as part of a broad-based public participation process. All interested parties were invited to contribute their opinions and suggestions for improvements to the plans.
