In the  council archive, you will not only find the streams of the respective meetings, but also all press releases of the City of Bonn on resolutions of the City Council.

The archive is kept by year and goes back to 2021.

The most important decision-making body in the city is the Council. It represents the citizens together with Mayor Katja Dörner. In principle, the City Council is responsible for all matters. However, it is relieved of this responsibility by the district councils and the committees, which also have the power to decide certain matters and make recommendations or suggestions to the Council. The Mayor of Bonn chairs the Council and is a member of the Council by law. She has the right to vote in the Council and the Main Committee. At the beginning of the five-year term of office, the council members elect mayors from among their number as honorary deputies to chair meetings and represent the city.

The Council currently comprises 66 seats.

Distribution of seats:

• Parliamentary groups: CDU 18, Greens 17, SPD 11, Die Linke 4, BBB 4, FDP 3, Volt 3.
• Groups: AfD 2, Rheingrün 2.
• Individual city councillors: BIG 1, Die PARTEI 1.
