Based on the Climate Plan 2035, the City of Bonn is currently working with Mobilitätswerk GmbH to develop a concept for the strategic and future-proof expansion of the charging infrastructure for electric mobility. The aim is to create a nationwide, needs-based network of charging points that facilitates the switch to electric mobility and thus contributes to reducing CO2 emissions in the transport sector.

A central component of the concept is the participation of citizens. Everyone in Bonn is invited to take part in the planning process. From now until June 27, 2025, suggestions for locations for new charging points and information on existing charging stations can be submitted via an interactive online map. There is also the opportunity to make further suggestions for the promotion of electromobility in Bonn.

The proposals submitted will be checked for feasibility and - if they can be implemented - will be included as an important component in further planning. In this way, the charging infrastructure can be organized in the future in a way that is as needs-based and user-oriented as possible.
